Die Cuttin' Divas Guest Designer! A Jumbo Elephant Thank you!

I am so excited to be Guest Designing for Die Cuttin' Divas today! Yippee!

We have a new jumbo-sized Die Cuttin' Diva challenge this week and we sure hope you will share your card, layout, or altered project.
The Challenge...
Create a project using an elephant
I personally love elephants, I have a huge collection of them that started when my Dad gave me a tiny stuffed elephant when I was very ill as a child. Since then I have collected and received many beautiful elephants, so I was so excited to be doing such a perfect challenge!
Background Information...
Elephant Appreciation Day was declared beginning in 1996 by WildHeart® Productions to celebrate the Elephant

When: September 22

Origin of Elephant Appreciation Day:  Mission Media Inc. created in 1996, largely because elephants are....large (and a whole lot of other great things). The founder, Wayne Hepburn, received a paperweight of elephants on parade from his daughter as a gift. He became fascinated by them. He amassed a huge collections of elephant books and paraphernalia. His fascination and love of elephants, led to the creation of this day so you and I can stop and enjoy this huge, lumbering beast.

Here is my project:

I used the Paisley Cricut cartridge for my jumbo elephant
Cuttlebug Die cut Tag
A jumbo thank you stamp from Studio G
Mini button
Shore from the Twinery
Liquid Pearls

This week's super sponsor is...
Sister company to Cricut Direct, Cutting Bugs will provide choice of Cricut or Cards Magazine, Sept. 2012 issue and a Megan Elizabeth Sparkle Light Set
Remember...You have one week to plan, create, and submit your project. The winner will be announced next Tuesday. Please remember to include which die-cut you used and a link back to our site.
We are looking forward to all those projects that you create this week.

Yippee!!! I'm Back!

Hello!! I am back!! We had an AMAZING vacation! Two weeks of just fun, fun, fun!
We spent our time in Georgia, Alabama and Florida and we enjoyed every minute of it! We spent most of the time being spoiled by our Georgia Grandmas, going to the beach, hanging pool side, and doing a lot of sight seeing!

I am so glad to be home! I had to go right back to work and between mounds of laundry I squeezed in a card!

It is time for another great challenge over at the BBTB2!

This week Jeri from Bug 'n Me has selected the strawberry from Simply Charmed. But you can use any strawberry from any cartridge!

I like to have lots of Thank you cards on hand so I "mass" produced these cutie cards!

I used the strawberry cut but I decided not to cut the face, instead I ran it through the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder.

Thank You Cute Chick!

My bestie sent me a surprise in the mail! It was a set of Peachy Keen Stamps!! The Critter Faces!!

I was so excited! I called her to say Thanks so much and she asked me what one I was going to use first and I told her the cute chick face!

So I thought it would be fun to make her a thank you card using the cute chick face!

Isn't she so stinkin' cute!!

Did you notice the stitching?? I dusted off my little ProvoCraft So Crafty Mini sewing machine and stitched!! I should have used a different color thread but I was afraid if I changed it I wouldn't figure out how to re-thread it!

My Creative Time Throwback Challenge - New Arrival

My Creative Time is having a throwback challenge, this one is for New Arrival. I picked up a cute set of stamps, one that says " a jumbo thank you!" So I knew I wanted to make a card with an elephant on it, so I used the one from New Arrival. This is one of my favorite cartridges! I embossed the elephant, and used some flower bling.
