ShotGun Rider! A fun page from my Smashbook featuring Freckled Fawn Embellishments!

I have a confession, I am a hoarder of Freckled Fawn Goodies! I just LOVE all their embellishments! A few months ago they started having challenges and of course I must join them! (by the way great marketing because now I am using my stuff and wanting to buy more!) Well this month's challenge was right up my ally, with over the top embellishing! Ummmm no problem!!

Here is a page from my Smashbook! It is me in the front seat with Winston. He is our ShotGun rider where ever we go! We even have a special seatbelt harness to keep him safe since he usually is riding shotgun solo. Today my Husband was driving and if he had to pick only one of us to ride shotgun it would be the dog and I would be in the back seat!  LOL!! So he sits on my lap! He is one spoiled mister!

I wasn't a fan of the pattern paper of the Smash Page so I used white Gesso and painted over it and I like it much better.
All the rest is 100% Freckled Fawn Goodies!

From a Flower to a Butterfly! Happy Birthday!

Hello friends! Today I am filling in for Georgiana over at the Eyelet Outlet Blog today! I had so much fun making this card! I used some yellow paper as a base then covered it in white Gesso. I used my water colors to create the background then added drops of color using Colorshine.
It worked out so great since I could not find the colored pattern paper I wanted, I just created my own!

I created the butterflies using the Eyelet Outlet Flowers. I found a tutorial on YouTube: Wildorchidcrafts

I just love how sweet they turned out! I created an embellishment cluster at the bottom to bring all the colors together.

Nautical Tag! A trip to the Joco Marina! Sunshine Yellow DoubleClick Skittles Showcase Color!

Hello Crafty friends! I had a few minutes between loads of laundry and decided to work on my Costa Rica Travel journal! I printed some of my photos 1"X2" because I had so many photos and my book is pretty small. I just want little reminders of my trip so I am happy with some little ones that don't have photos of us in them.

While visiting friends in Joco they brought us to see a beautiful marina, I think it was Los Suenos. There was so much to see while there and we tried to squeeze so much in that we ended up missing our bus back to Manuel Antonio, then is started down pouring on us while we waited the hour for the next bus! But it was worth it! I really enjoy walking around marina and wish we had more time to spend there.

Here is a tag made just for that little excursion that will fit right into my journal!

My tag was cut using the Crocs Rule Cricut Cartridge
The sun was cut using the DoodleCharms Cricut Cartidge
All the papers are from a Mambi Kit called travel.
Yellow Stickles, Recollections embellishments, Puffy heart stickers,
Tim Holtz labels, Liquid Pearls, Ribbons

I Lied about being the Outdoors type!! A page from my Costa Rica travel journal! Alligator Bridge! Oregano DoubleClick Skittles Showcase Color!

Hello Crafty friends!

Today I worked on a project life card for my Costa Rica Scrapbook. When I initially put my book together I knew it had to be small because I was traveling with it so the majority of my book is made up of Project Life cards.  I then added things that I collected while on the trip, like dollies, napkins, maps and business cards. I just printed all my photos and will slowly be putting them into place.

While in Costa Rica we visited Alligator bridge which was just that, a bridge you walked over with VERY low railings and beneath you on both sides... hundreds of alligators! This is a top spot for eco-tourism.

I added the hearts because I LOVED Costa Rica and all of my pages will have them!
This was the perfect set of stickers for this page: I lied about being the outdoors type!

Alligator is cut with Crocs Rule Cricut Cartridge
I pulled the project life card plus the paper embellishments from my stash
Puffy heart stickers are from Wal-mart
Stickles, liquid pearls, Mini heart Die
Tim Holtz tiny word stickers

Travel the world Tag! Update about Balance and LIFE!

Hello Crafty friends! Once again I am trying to balance all the things I want to do, I set up yet another schedule for myself so that I have some time to enjoy life and not just "survive" it! With so many changes happening in our lives, I can't help but become over whelmed and then I end up in circles accomplishing nothing. I need to schedule all the things I need/want to do including the fun stuff, like crafting! With Cross country season just weeks away I want to make sure I am actively finding ways to manage it all.  Fingers crossed I will be successful!

Anyways, I pre-made a traveler's notebook/mini scrapbook and took it with me to Costa Rica. And actually journaled about my trip daily! Now I need little bits and pieces to put it all together. With a few blank spots I wanted to fill in, this tag fit perfectly!

I used nothing but my Cuttlebug for this one!

Paper from Heidi Sonboul Special Delivery
Crate paper and fringe scissors
Ribbon from my scrap ribbon pile
