This is a "Desert" Diva Celebration!!

Since I live in the desert this was an easy project for me! Here is the project I have created for this hop...

It's a page from my Smashbook!! We have tons of family photos from all of our Arizona adventures so I thought this would be perfect!
Yee Haw Cricut Cartridge for the cactus and fence
Tag stamped with Greetings From Arizona
Notebook Border punch
Burlap and trim

I am originally from New York and came to Arizona in 1992. My Husband and I love Arizona and think it is a great place to raise our girls. We love to hike, run, bike, and raft all through~out the state. I thought I would share some of our Arizona experiences:

It does not snow where we live. We drove our girls to see the snow when they were 7 and 8 years old and they hated it!  9 out of the 12 months the weather is perfect in Arizona. It is the reason we live here. Most people hibernate in the winter, we hibernate in the summer. It is hot in the summer, it is a dry heat but 112 is still hot!  Cd's have melted in my car and bottles of hand sanitizer have exploded. You can where Flip Flops all year round. In the summer it is light from 5:00am till 8:00 pm.

Here is a picture taken in December 72 degrees:
Here is the temperature in my car in July:
We have crazy "Sand Storms"
And Dry Storms:
 And Spooky Storms:

My Daughters and I hunt, capture and kill scorpions all over our house:
We use a black light to find them.... This one was in my ice-tea:
We LOVE Arizona!

We just loved it and we are coming back again nest year but this time it will be for 3 months! I am glad I didn't see any of those creepy crawlers or I am sure I wouldn't be coming back LOL! Oh and by the way it did snow one day in February, I am sure we brought it with us so your girls could see it. have a great weekend and thanks for sharing your beautiful photos and your wonderful creation.

  46. Fabulous layout!!!
Love all of your pictures. :)
My MIL lives in Lake Havasu, so I have experienced all of the things you are showing. I am NOT a fan of those darn scorpions tho! The first time I took my daughters to her house, they were 2 and 3 years old, and within 20 minutes of being there, we found a scorpion in the house!!! I was freaked out (and paranoid), with the little ones! We see those darn things now every time we go, and I STILL freak out!! LOL!! I can't believe you found one in your iced tea.. that is scary!!
Anyway, it's a great place to visit. (then go home to beautiful Cali! LOL!)
