Some old Die... All Tim Holtz-i-fied!!

I am so happy writing this post! I just have to tell you about my day! My Husband and I were both off today since it is the girl's last day of spring break. We were up early taking care of some business and thinking about all the things we had planned for the day since we were both home we figured we could spend the day cleaning the garage, doing laundry, Nothing fun! SO while driving home I said Gee wouldn't it be great just to do something else?? He yells Road Trip!! I called and woke up my Parents told them they had one hour to be ready, let the girls pack a quick bag of snacks and we were out the door!  We had no plan, we just drove a few hours north and ended up spending the day in Prescott. We had such a great time, we had lunch, and went to at least a dozen Antique shops, had ice-cream. The day could not have been more perfect! So while I was in one of the shops I came across a box that had old printing press dies in it! Most were rusted because they are metal, but I found one that I grabbed. I wasn't sure if it would stamp but it was $1.00!! Of course the first thing I did when I got home was give it some ink and Wowzer!! It stamped! So today was a great day, I spent a wonderful day with my Family and found a super cool crafting toy!
So the die is an old press from some court house! How fun is that!

Here is a pic of the die:

and how it stamped:

Here is what I turned it into!

I made an ATC card to give to my Dad because he laughed when I bought the die asking.. What are you going to do with that??
All my papers are from my Tim Holtz Scrap pile.
I sanded the edges and inked them with Old Paper and Walnut Stain
Tim Holtz Idea-ology Film Strip
K and Co Die Cuts (no name but vintage looking)
I made the flower using a Cuttlebug scallop die, spritz with glimmer mist and stardust Stickles
Butterflies from a mini punch with tiny attacher
Glossy Accents
Tarnished Brass Stickles
Glitter Roll Pen
Martha Stewart Snow Glitter

No Cricut Used

Thanks for reading my very long post! :)
