Get Well Soon! 3 Girl Jam Design Team Day!

Today is my day to design over at 3 Girl Jam!  I am featuring the Crinkle Ribbon Harvest Orange,  and Mistletoe! Have you used this amazing ribbon? This ribbon is a MUST have!! I love how versatile it is!  Can you believe I handmade this flower?

I love how this flower turned out! My Husband was in a "let's run a lot of errands today" mood, so I grabbed my crinkle ribbon some matching thread and a needle and while he drove us all around town I stitched along the bottom of the ribbon. I was then able to pull the thread which caused the ribbon to scrunch together, once I got home I pulled, shaped the hot glued my flower into place! I love that I was able to mix crinkle ribbon colors together from different bundles and have them fit together so perfectly!

The base of my card is 4X4.  I used my Sizzix Scallop Square to make the shape.

Design Time Thursday! Graduation!!

Thank you for joining us for our new challenge! We saw some Beautiful Mother's Day card projects during our last challenge!  We appreciate you joining us and hope you will join us for this next challenge!

Theme Graduation!

It is so hard to believe that graduation is upon us! The school year went so fast! My girls only have a few days left then we are out for the summer!

For my project I decided to make a photo frame picture plaque.
 It will fit a 2 X 2 1/2 photo.

First I removed the wire handle from the wall hanging and using Black Soot Tim Holtz Distressed ink I covered the entire piece.
Then I measured out my layers of paper, sanded the edges, inked them with walnut stain and attached it.
I took a chipboard embellishment and covered it with paper, stamped it and inked the edges. These mini graduation brads fit perfect!
I think the sentiment from Studio G is just hilarious! The Tassle's worth the Hassle! (Heat embossed)
I then fussy cut the word graduation out of some paper, sanded, inked it and added to the top.
I took the normally bright and fun ribbon and heavily distressed it to match the entire piece, then using my tiny attacher I knotted and stapled them together.

Cathie with the CCR supplied the Design Team with some great paper, ribbons, a wall plaque, and embellishments to work with for this challenge. Here are the supplies we received:

I was able to find a wall plaque on clearance at Micheal's for only .15. I was able to re-purpose it and turn it into a beautiful wall hanging for my Mom. I used papers from Die Cuts with a View Citrus Stack. Inked and distressed the edges using Tim Holtz walnut stain and tool. I used a quilling tool to make my flowers that I cut using the Cricut Cartridge Flower Shoppe. Liquid Pearls and ribbon help to finish this handmade project up. I handmade the stick pin using hot glue beads from my stash. You too can easily create beautiful handmade gift for someone you love!
