I am trying to convince my 9 year old to have a Luau Party for her 10th Birthday! So I pulled out my Luau Party boxes to show her the skirts and pineapple cups to try and sway her my way. While I was in there I found some strands from an old luau skirt so I decided to use it instead of tossing it away!
I found this wall plaque at Micheal's for .15!
I inked all the edges and covered it with the pink Hawaii paper.
I had to dig deep into my paper stash! I knew I had this paper from a few years ago.
The pineapple cup is from Life's a Beach Cricut Cartridge
I used a straw that I bought from the CKC Mesa Convention
The yellow raffia is recycled from a grass skirt
The pink raffia I found on clearance at least 3 years ago!
I needed a Thank you Card for some recent blog candy that I won and decided to go with a cutie gnome:

I made this handmade greeting card for a friend. It is nice to give handmade gifts as a surprise, it can really make someone's day! I used the Cricut Pagoda Cartridge for the Chinese doll. Using the Tim Holtz distressing tool and walnut stain distress ink changed the texture of the card. It is just because. Pink and brown are the in colors and so are polka dots.
