Dia de los Muertos/A Celebration of Life Blog Hop

Welcome to A Celebration of Life blog hop!
Thank you for hopping along with us today!

If you are here from Cristina's blog Crafting with Cristina then you are in the right place! If you have stumbled upon this hop and want to start from the beginning head on over to Abby's blog here! You don't want to miss any of the amazing projects!

I used an inspiration photo for my project today! Here is the photo that I used:

I decided to use Indie art for the skull because it had such a defined skull cut. Cut at 4 3/4" first in white, then I used some scraps to get the exact cuts that I wanted:

I lined up the strips of colored paper and taped them together on the back and re-cut the skull. This gave me exact pieces to put over the white. I then just pieced the skull together!

No Day of the Dead Skull is complete with out beautiful flowers and bling!

Completed by adding background paper run through the Cuttlebug Moroccan Screen Folder.

I hope you enjoyed my project! Come back tomorrow for another project and giveaway!

Before you leave... I have some blog candy to share:
Some fun vacation/holiday 3-D stickers and two stamps!

All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and a way for me to contact you if you win!! ( You do not have to be a follower)

Information about Dia De Los Muertos:
Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de los Muertos) is a holiday celebrated in Mexico and other countries. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. The celebration occurs on November 1 and 2. Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars honoring the deceased using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed and visiting graves with these as gifts. The Day of the Dead is a time of celebration. (www.wikipedia.org)'
