So many Shoes!

I have already faced the fact that I am in trouble when it comes to my 8 year old and shoes!
Here is a very small part of her glass shoe collection:

And yes all the baskets are also full of shoes!

Here is a picture of her favorite High Heel shoe, that she can only wear in the house: (Am I in trouble or what?? Only 8!!)

So when  I saw  Paper Playtime had a shoe challenge I was in! Only one problem... I could not find any shoes on any of the cartridges I own except Paper doll dress up and well, they are for paper dolls!

Here is the challenge:

For Challenge #16 make any new paper project inspired by this theme: "IF THE SHOE FITS, BUY ONE OF EVERY COLOR".

Since I had no cartridge to use, I really had to go outside the box on this one! I call my little girl my chickie, which gave me the idea of the chick, and I remembered the tulips from Walk in my Garden and how I thought they looked like chickie feet, so... I came up with Chick Shoes!

When I started putting it together, I had my little chick glued to my side! She loved that I made green shoes to match her green eyeshadow!

  3. So super cute. Love the story and the inspiration behind it. You will have to put this in a scrap book for your chick! I have to say that I had a love for shoes when I was little too (and still do). When I was in sixth grade, everyday, for a week I snuck a pair of my moms heels in my back pack and as soon as I got on the bus I switched shoes! It only lasted a week though because my teacher called my mom. I really don't know what I was thinking because the shoes looked ridiculous, they were way too big on me.

  4. Your chick is such a cutie. I love the way that you thought outside the box but still stayed with the challenge theme. The story behind this card is precious, don't forget to record it somewhere. I love seeing all your projects for different challenges. Thank you for sharing.

  7. Opps there was a spelling mistake in my last comment that really changed the whole comment for the worst lol. I wrote "I love that she is a shoe gal already!" But in shoe I whiched the e for a w by mistake :S Can you see how that would be very wrong lol. Great idea to use her nickname as inspiration!
