Back to School Blog Hop Day 6!

Welcome Blog Hop Day 6!!

Wow! This blog hop is into day 6 and is quickly coming to an end!! This will be my final project for this hop! I hope you have enjoyed my projects along the way and will continue to stop by and visit! Be sure to check back on August 16 when I will draw and announce the winner!

Now onto my last project! As some of you know I am a card maker, I love to make cards! But I decided back in February to attempt to make an 8 1/2X11 Scrapbook for a friend who is not so crafty and give it as a Christmas present. So through all the wonderful challenges that I have come across I have been able to complete many pages! But this one I made for the hop.

I ended up buying a Perfect Pages Grade School Kit to make this one! The apple cut is from DoodleCharms. You can click on the image to get a better view!

If you are here for the blog hop for the first time, please click here to be directed to the original posting, The original posting is the only comments that will be entered for the blog candy! I am the last blog for the hop!

Our hop will soon be coming to an end! I hope you check back in!
In case you get lost along the way here is a list of blogs to hop along:
Just click on the names!

I also wanted to take this time to thank all of you that decided to follow me, even though it was not required to win my blog candy! I appreciate all of you that have been popping back and I will be coming around once I am caught up to visit!

I also wanted to answer a few quick questions that I received.

What did I use to adhere my projects together?
Mostly my ATG gun, I did also use my Scotch quick dry but this is what always happens when I use the Scotch:
Yes, that is a big blob of glue! I don't know why this happens! The top flys off! SO mainly my ATG gun!

Where do I find my acetate paper?

I usually buy it from Office Max, they carry it in their special copy and printing area.... but you can also buy the clear protective folders that you use as a report cover and that works perfect too!

The candy box is cut at 5 3/4 but is actually only 4 1/2 X 3 1/2 once assembled so it is to small to fit a set of standard A2 size cards.

The paper for the composition notebook was from DCWV Fun in the Sun Summer Stack.

Cookie the little hamster is alive!! Thank Goodness!! She recovered from complete exhaustion from being played with! And her friend loved the card!

How do I do it? I am abusybee! I love to stay busy! I am a night owl so I stay up super late, I do work full-time outside of the house, I do have a husband and children, I do cook dinner five nights a week, I am a list making control freak, my house is spotless except my craft corner... Don't hate me!! Here is my secret.... my big secret is.... I don't watch T.V.!! Only one show for one hour once a week and when it is in season.... MadMen!! That frees up a lot of time for me to craft! LOL!! So that is it that is how I do it! Feel free to contact me via my "contact me here" on my sidebar to chat, have questions or discuss Don Draper!

Thanks for joining in on the hop and a special thanks to Georgiana, Dorcas, Cheryl, and Jen! They all worked so hard and all the projects were amazing! Thanks Ladies!

Blog Hop Fun Day 2!

Welcome Blog Hop Day 2!!

The start of a new school year always brings some nervousness and concern for my girls, so we always make sure to get together with friends right before school starts so they can communicate with each other about how they are feeling and feel reassured that they are each feeling the same.

So when we had a friend over she decided to bring her new miniature hamster with her, and oh my how cute this little thing was so tiny and adorable! Well after a few hours of playing with little Cookie, she wasn't looking so good :(

We had to call her Mom to come and get them both. I felt so awful handing over this poor little hamster and a little girl with tears welling up in her eyes!

We checked on Cookie and she was still hanging in there, so we decided to make her friend a card to let her know how sorry we are and that we are praying for her and Cookie. My daughter will deliver it to her friend today, on the first day of school!

Recipe:
Create a Critter for the hedge hog (Which looks just like the mini hamster!)
Accent Essentials for the circles

Cuttlebug folders s
wiss dots and spots and dots
scallop punch

all paper is from scraps!

Since I am a multi-tasker... This project is also for the following challenges:
Peachy Keen: Follow the sketch

and
Paper Cutz challenge:

For challenge # 53, make a card, LO or craft project using a digital, hand stamped or Cricut cut image of a monkey, skunk, squirrel or hedgehog and any colors you'd like.

Happy Birthday Cowboy!

Over at Paper Cutz Challenge:

For challenge # 50, make a card, LO or craft project with a Cowboy/Western theme using any colors you'd like.

I was in a cut swap over at serenity scrappers and this challenge was so perfect! I received this awesome silhouette of a little cowboy and thought it was just so sweet! And then realized that I also received pattern paper that matched perfect!
Now I wish I could say who I received the cuts from but.... I was like a kid in the candy store emptying each baggie to see the goodies inside! So if you recognize your cuts from the serenity scrappers swap just leave me a comment! LOL!!
