A Fun Card!

I have a little story about this card...

Paula over at More than Favors has a color challenge, turquoise, red and white. I thought great!

Until I realized picking turquoise out of paper is tough! I ended up calling in my Husband who does not get involved in my crafting stuff unless it is so say something like... why is there glitter on my chair??

So anyway he sat down with me and we flipped through the paper packs and he felt this was as close to turquoise as you can get with the paper I own. So we had some good quality crafting time together LOL! (Poor Guy)

I built the card around his color choice and came up with this:

I think this sentiment is too cute, and I thought it was perfect for this little snowman from Jolly Holidays!

I stamped the presents one at a time and used clear embossing powder and the heat gun. They look really shiny and pretty in person! I added some bling and used the Swiss dots Cuttlebug Embossing folder for the hat trim. Some craft string and the stamp is Studio G.

My 8 year old....

So I said I cut my last Turkey a few days ago.... but when my chickie heard I would be skipping a few challenges because I was Turkey-ed out she said "I will do it!!"

So she went through the books and she picked the turkey from DoodleCharms,she used my cricut to cut the turkey and she also picked out her paper. (I cut the Thanks for her.)  She stuck it all together and here it is:

Peace Birthday Invites

I was asked to make Peace Birthday invitations for a friend. I didn't have any cartridges with the Peace sign so I designed one on Sure Cuts Alot.

I made these using an envelope and paper crimper: You pull the little top off and the invite slips inside!

The "Your Invited" is from Plantin Schoolbook and the Cricut Markers. She picked the paper and I added a little bling and details.

She loved them!

I made this card for the More than Flavors challenge. It was super easy! I just cut the flower from Accent Essentials, starting at 3 1/2 and went down by 1/4 each time. Then used a large brad to put them altogether.

More than Flavors:  This week for Wacky Wednesday I wanted to do a Color Challenge... The Colors are Pink, Black, Grey & White.

More Than Favors Challenge

More Than Favors Challenge # 6 Sports....

Ok so this is my LEAST favorite theme!! I dislike sports and I do not know anything about any sport! I actually had to research on line what the color of the baseball stitching was so I could make it correct! And a very good friend of mine gave me the baseball cartridge which I never even opened until now!

But the timing was perfect another friend of mine asked me to make her a baseball card that she could give as a thank you note!

Here it is:I used the baseball cartridge for the ball and mitt, I hand cut the triangle and square to make it look like a field. I had to decorate the inside of the card because the top was to heavy to stand up!
