Hardest trail run of my life!

Beautiful!
It is one year since we almost lost Winston to Valley Fever. He suffered a heart attack and lung damage in addition to the infection. His last report showed recovery of some damaged tissue near his heart, and his lung capacity will never recover, sadly he will never be able to run with me again. His valley fever results also indicated his levels have risen. He is staying strong and we love him so much and continue to take the best care of him. We are hoping for better results at his next appointment.
The DoubleClick Skittles Shop is fully stocked with all your favorite colors! With an easier check out you can now pick and choose the ones you want!
Cross country season is fast approaching! I hope to have a much better handle on time management this season to be able to craft and keep up with everyone's blog!
Thanks for letting me share my updates! I will be playing catch up!
Also I would love to hear about your thoughts and comments on me bringing back a Design Team and hosting challenges?
Nice photos TFS!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a wonderful time in Costa Rica. Not been there. TY for updates on Winston. Hard to believe that I had to put Teddy down beginning of 2014 and have had Daisy since Aug 2014.

Oh WOW! Sounds Amazing! I can totally see why you didn't want to come back! LOL After having time off and going back to work stinks... makes us move even slower I think! Wishing the best for your sweet little Winston.... I'm happy your back and hopefully you'll be able to find some balance with crafting and Cross Country - Challenges? Well... I think that's up to you & if you have time to do it... I know several people who have done them for awhile (yourself included) - But time, life, and trying to get participation always seems hard... But if you think you can do it..... Go for it... Big Hugs! :)

Looks like you have had an amazing time my friend! I have always wanted to go to Costa Rica... I hear it is beautiful there! I'm so happy to hear that you ran and that you survived it all :)
ReplyDeleteAnd wow ... time flies!!! A year already for Winston???? SO glad he is okay and still with you... I do hope you get some really good news at his next check up...he is a strong little guy to go through all he did and then still be here a year later... You have to take some credit there for keeping him healthy and having him run with you all those times... you kept him in good shape... enough so to keep him strong and healthy enough to get through it all. You are a wonderful mommy! We had a scare two weeks ago as well that almost made us lose our beloved dog, Tiki. He went into the vet for a routine annual check up for his shots and everything and soon as he got his distemperment and rabies shots.. he literally collapsed on the floor in front of us and started going into anaphylactic shock.... within seconds the vet scooped him up and took him to the back to work on him. Thank GOD, she saved him! She told us it was that bad that we literally were minutes away from losing him, she's so thankful we hadn't left yet to go home otherwise he wouldn't be here today. He'll be 13 in November and we have had him since he was 7 weeks old. So I completely understand where you were and are with Winston. Well have a great day hon... it's good to see you back again and blogging again. :)
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Jo

Sounds like Costa Rica was amazing. And it sounds like you had a good time with your race. I won't be doing as many races this year but look forward to a better season next year myself.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about Winston's latest report.
As for the blog and challenges, if you can manage it and want to do I say go for it. I absolutely love your skittles and use them on most every card I make!!

Looks like the trip of a lifetime Carri! I love your beautiful pictures too!! I'm so sorry about Winston, poor baby. I hate when our children, grandchildren and pets have to suffer. I had to put my sweet girl down last Oct as she was in liver failure. Broke my heart and I miss her like crazy. I do have another dog, but my little Pocket's girl will always be my baby. I'm sorry Winston can't run with you anymore, but so happy that he is improving. Praying for better results next visit. Hugs, Brenda
